February 14th - Rosewood, Fire, and Steel (classical guitarist Phil Weaver and fireographer/sword-swallower Patricia Forrest) and critically acclaimed singer-songwritber Michelle Malone performing solo acoustic. Phil will perform solos as well as duos with Mary in styles including baroque, samba, tango, flamenco, and avant garde. Something totally new will be his collaborations (music will be a Bach Gigue and Mason Williams' Classical Gas)with fire-eater Patricia, who has an extensive background in ballet and brings this aspect into her performances. Patricia will perform her sword swallowing routine Piazzolla's elegant Milonga del Angel for solo guitar.

Charles Duncan, author and former director of guitar studies at Emory “This looks like a great collaborative activity, with transformative potential for the music world, bridging the gap between elite and popular cultures with sublimely transgressive creative energies” This will be a show you do not want to miss.

The Daily Brew is becoming known as a prime venue for acoustic music with its patio overlooking the Tennessee river. Vivaldi's Concerto in D for guitar, sambas by Celso Machado, and Jay Ungar's Ashokan Farewell are featured. Ingrid has some piano solos by Gershwin and Ernesto Nazareth.

Lowe Mill Tornado Relief Fundraiser, Lowe Mill, Huntsville, AL 2:00 PM (Phil's set begins at 2:30 appr.)
Back Dock or 1st Floor Connector - Rain or Shine - $5 suggested donation  We're helping out those affected locally by the recent tornados, including two of our own, Vicki Bates and Tony Triolo. Donations of goods as well as 1/3 of monies will go to Sand Mountain Parish, a group of organizations gathered to help with tornado relief. Performances will be by Amy McCarley, Phil Weaver, Bourbon and Shamrocks, Trio El Camino, Watters-Felts Project, Kush and The Snake Doctors. Needed supplies are baby diapers, wipes and food, bleach, laundry detergent, clothes (especially undergarments, for all ages), and shoes. Please no appliances or furniture. Those can be given to the Salvation Army.

Jazz trumpet player Ken Watters performs with CBC for the first time. This show will feature Mason William's hit Classical Gas, Celso Machado's Sambosso, and the Malageuna Blues.

Mahler uses guitar in the 4th movement of this work. Phil will be performing this part with the HSO.

Berkeley Bob's has recently been voted as one of the top 100 live music venues in Alabama. Phil Weaver returns to Berkeley Bob's with a powerhouse acoustic concert not to be missed. Joining him for this show are violinist Mary Peck and pianist Ingrid von Spakovsky (who performed here last fall with Phil and Microwave Dave) in a show that will feature Mason Williams' hit Classical Gas, Jay Ungar's haunting Ashokan Farewell, and a variety of solos and duos in styles including Samba, Tango, Flamenco, and Celtic. Phil and Mary will play several of Mason Williams' original compositions for guitar and violin, Ingrid has some Gershwin up her sleeve, and Phil will perform a new solo by Costa Rican composer Edin Solis (a Grammy winner) that has been a huge hit with audiences. Three superb musicians at a great venue- a perfect way to spend your Friday night!
